We are Daughters in the Light of Mary*, where young women share in a Catholic girls' perspective on living the faith through Leaders, Service and Fellowship
Daughters in the Light of Mary is a youth organization for girls ages 11-18 years. Members of Daughters in the Light of Mary work together to plan and host events and activities in the areas of Service, Spiritual, Civic/Cultural, Membership & Social. Past activities include hosting an All Saints Dance, Mother/Daughter Movie night, visiting Westlake Nursing Home, attending Modern Messages Dance Company's production of Christmas, serving in our food pantry, conducting a bake sale, rosary making, and Karaoke & Donuts just to name a few! Many activities and events are planning for the upcoming year, including making fleece tie blankets for Foster Care children, Christmas caroling at Westlake, collecting and packaging food donations for the food pantry and much more.
We are formerly known as Knights Daughters and nothing has changed about our Purple, our girls and their great involvement and service to our parish.

*It can thus be said that women, by looking to Mary, find in her the secret of living their femininity with dignity and of achieving their own true advancement. In the Light of Mary, the Church sees in the face of woment the reflection of a beauty which mirrors the loftiest sentiments of which the human heart is capable: the self-offering totality of love; the strength that is capable of bearing the greatest sorrows; limitless fidelity and tireless devotion to work; the ability to combine penetrating intuition with words of support and encouragement." -Pope St. John Paul II in his encyclical Redemptoris Mater, paragraph 46"
